2015-16
- October 2014, I came out of the Yukon’s remote Peel River Watershed, after my second season guiding trophy hunters. My initial interest was exclusively for adventure and I was unsure of how I would react to the demands of the job. The work stirred my emotions, challenged my morals and almost killed me, twice. The exhibition Bells & Airplanes was a coming to terms with the experience. It was also an opportunity to shed light on the intricacies of an industry that many know, but few know personally. It addresses mainly ego, industry hierarchies, class clashes, perilous working conditions, the beauty of the landscapes and the psychology behind desires to please and desires to kill. It was first exhibited at Arts Underground in Whitehorse, Yukon then toured to AKA Gallery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
